In this series, I offer a glimpse into a personal world where you can witness the experience and disruption of my own idyllic silences. It is a somewhat unsettling situation—entering a highly sensitive, intimate space where company feels more intrusive than comforting. My photographs balance on the borderline between existence and non-existence, past and future, where the very act of taking the picture is already a gesture of losing the moment.
My silence "happens" when nothing affects me. It arrives unexpectedly and is suddenly just there—lingering for a few seconds, or more rarely, for minutes. Most often, this state touches me while hiking in nature, and then it vanishes. For me, this is a special experience because it can only occur when no problems or distractions interfere. Amidst the noise of everyday life, I listen to a lot of music, which might be why I experience the sounds of silence with such particular affection.
